"Swynnerton Camps offer a multitude of opportunities from field craft to kayaking. Summer Swynnerton camps are predominantly greens camps however there are opportunities to partake in the cadet drill course which is in blues uniform. At Swynnerton you will be in dormitories of around 15 to 30 people and you will get the chance to meet new friends and go on opportunities to work with those people and learn new skills also you will be able to choose which activities you wish to do. At Easter Swynnerton you don’t get as much choice however it is much more of a competitive camp, because you will be put into flights and sections to allow for a more competitive feel to the camp. Some other cadets will be completing the Swynnerton leadership course which allows cadets and NCO’s to work on their leadership skills and fitness with the instructors on the course. There are also cadet instructors that will help out with the running of the course. The course allows you in the new training syllabus to achieve a badge for your brassard, to recognise that you have completed the course. Overall the camps are a great experience and are worth attending, because you will learn new skills and meet new people whilst having a good time."
